Starbucks...Starsucks!!
I usually don't like Starbucks, (Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf & Columbus Bear Cafe is more my taste), but I was in the mood for a Mocha Frapaccino the other day. It was a good day....so far. I made my order (nocticed the price...KD 1.350), and the man behind the counter asked if I wanted extra caramel. I agreed. The man went to the back of the counter and began the proccess of my drink. Tap! Tap! Tap!....chuck! chuck! chuck! and then came the blending....ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!
He graciously gave me my drink and told me...KD 2.800 please. I looked at him with disgust and all I can say was "WHAT???" I pointed to the menu board behind him and showed him that its supposed to be KD 1.350. He said..."yes, but you also wanted extra caramel sauce." Ok, I wanted extra caramel, not knowing that they will charge that much more for that!!! He told me that they charge 150 fils per pump of extra sauce, and they pumped 9 times! 5 pumps on the bottom of the cup, and 4 pumps on the top of the whip cream! I kid you not, I did not know that they charge for extra sauce. 150 fils for a measly pump of caramel??? What..is it made out of edible gold?? I was not gonna pay almost 3 KD for drink. All I wanted was a simple "squirt" of caramel on the top...just for the added taste...not to be drenched in it! After some scolding, I slided the drink back to him across the counter and told him I did not want his damn coffee. What gives him the right to pump all that extra sauce andd assume I was gonna pay that much? I left, went back to my office and had nice hot nescafe...with nothing extra! Never again will I set foot into starbucks again...Case closed!

Good for you.. that sounds like a disgusting drink. It sounds like caramel with a hint of coffee. $10 for a starbucks coffee is just crazy.

I always wondered about the caramel pricing, cuz everytime I seem to pay something different, according to the servers 'pump mood' cuz sometimes they are in a very pumpy mood and other times they're not! Turns out I was right! There is a conspiracy! :> Thank you for that valuable information.

They did that to me when I ordered my caramel latte... charged me for extra caramel... i was furious.. other places add extra caramel but they dont charge for it! its enough that their coffee sucks!!

I never drink coffee at Starbucks, it isn't considered coffee with all that crap they put in it. Also if you dont mention a size they automatically pick the largest one for you.
This isn't the first time I hear about this complaint. They're rip-offs I tell ya!

Congratulation on that bold move though. I would have said are u serious? cut my losses and bought the coffee anyway.

I agree. Coffee Bean is a much better place to get cofee and get your work done. I just wish people in Kuwait continue loving Starbucks so they can leave my Coffee Bean alone :)

The only time I ever enter Starsucks is once a year for the Toffee-nut latte...which is out now....other than that...i usually roll my eyes when i see the crowds there...imagine a lousy cup of coffee costing this much...it's a consipiracy I'm telling ya'!

I confess ... I loooooove their cappucino! But each time I order I get into a fight with them soon as they ask me if I want anything with it... I tell them that if I want something I'll let them know when I order ... :P
Latly i noticed that there are new coffee places left and right ... I keep looking for a better cappucino then the one from Starbucks and then I join your boycott
