Ramadan is around the corner

Here is a snippet of a conversation I had today with someone, and here is what he said:

friend: "I can't wait for Ramadan!"

me: how come?

friend: 'cause its the time where I can act like a "true" muslim!

LOL....basically he was saying out of the 11 months that he sins....he will dedicate this sacred month to become a "true" muslim! I had to laugh (of course not out loud), because obviously he was serious. I just had to share.

Mubarak 3alaikum il shahar :)

that reminds me of ppl who stop talking to their bf/gf's during the 9yam and straight after f6oor they get back to their old tricks. makes me wonder? is that actually better? or is that just lieing to ones self?

yeah I know alot like that! I don't get what happens but seriously there's this thing that happens and makes people so mellow and I don't know how! weird! I bet this would have still been weird if it was the other way around!

Uhhhhh I was actually going to relate to your friend.
I don't really do anything bad, I just don't do all the things am suppose to do as a muslim, like pray on time and so forth...
But don't we all pay extra attention to our faith in this holy month.

Happy Ramadan " this is the english version" hehehehe ;)

i love when its ramadan. people become so peaceful and the mood of the country just changes

Sorry mar, people do not become peaceful, maybe on your planet but not in Kuwait! Those who fast compin that they can't have coffee n smoke, make sure they take out on ppl on the street, their family n friends, colleagues and therandom stranger in the grocery store!
Yes the whole mood changes, everyone is rushing to do something, pray, eat, get their hair done, go to ghabgas, cook food I donno..whatever it is ppl seem to be rushing to it.
